Today was my first day back to class since last Monday, April 15. It's April 25 now! Between Easter Break and a sickness-induced staycation, I haven't really been doing the whole class thing lately, and I'll be honest, it was hard trying to get back into the swing of things.

I will preface this by saying that I'm still not at 100%- my stomach is still giving me trouble, and I left class many times today to run to the restroom, but overall, I'm feeling decently better. That being said, all I wanted to do in class today was sleeeeeeep. I was trying to focus and be a part of the discussions, but my mind and body just felt like they wanted to shut down and sleep for the whole day, as if that's not what I'd been doing the past three days anyway.

Perhaps my body got used to the 18+ hours of sleep a day type of lifestyle, or maybe there's still some sickness inside me that my body is trying to fight. Either way, today was a bit of a struggle.

Still, I did squeeze in some naps, which was nice. I slept for an hour between classes, and slept for another hour or two when I got home. Now, it's 9:30pm, an ungodly (early) hour to go to bed in my opinion, yet here I am, planning to turn in once I finish this blog.

I guess for the time being I will go ahead and trust that my body actually needs this sleep, otherwise it wouldn't be craving it so bad. I'm sure I'll be back to my regular schedule of late nights and early mornings in another day or two, so I'll savor this while I can. And, with that, I bid everyone good night!
