Blog #350: Mayor Pete

Once again, Iowa is the place to be for politics. Mayor Pete Buttigieg visited Sioux City today, so Ally, Sofia, and I went to hear him speak.

His speaking skills are honestly incredible- this is something I can't deny. He knows how to get a point across, and he knows how to address the crowd he's in. That's so important for a politician.

Though he's not my first choice for a candidate, I could see why he would be for others, especially here in Iowa. And, although I still can't fully comprehend the momentum he's had to grow from an unknown mayor of a mid-sized city to a legitimate front-running candidate for president, hearing him speak shed a little bit of light on this.

The guy's got talent, and I'll leave it at that.
