Honestly, Duolingo is such a cool resource.


It's not going to get you to fluency in a language, but it really is a great way to start learning it. In fact, studies have shown Duolingo to be more effective than both Rosetta Stone and actual college language courses. Plus, unlike those two (expensive) options, Duolingo is free!


Again, I know that Duolingo isn't going to make me fluent in Spanish. Heck, at this point, I'm not really even learning new content. But working with the language, forming sentences and conjugating verbs, that's still beneficial. If you don't use language, you lose it, and Duolingo is a great way to keep up with a language so this doesn't happen.
