Blog #255: I Lost a Dare

Nick is from Luxembourg, and he and I met during our first year at Morningside.

After that first year, Nick returned to Europe to complete his degree there. After not seeing him for years, he recently returned for a visit.

He's been here for a couple weeks now, but here's the most important part: I dared him not to shave his beard.

Nick's beard is barely noticeable, but he insists it's bright red and horribly unattractive. So, for absolutely no reason other than him complaining about it, I dared him a nice bottle of sauvignon blanc to not shave it for 3+ days. He almost failed, but he made it!

As proof, here's Nick and his (barely noticeable) beard after we shared a bottle of sauvignon blanc, as promised. He'll probably never grow it this long again in this life, but for maybe the first time in a while, I can say I'm happy I lost this dare.
