Blog #252: Verte Así

How's this for some random content? A video of me singing a song called "Verte Así" by Temple Sour, a Peruvian reggae band.

I've been playing the ukulele quite often this semester, and this rendition came up during a late night session (but I didn't want to wake Ally up, so I stayed quiet). It's one of my favorite songs ever, because it's just so sweet and so fun to listen to. I also love it because I remember hearing it for the first time and not being able to decipher a single word (I literally didn't even know what the title was). As time went on and I was able to improve my Spanish, I began to understand the song more and more. My Spanish grew with the song, and the song itself helped me in my learning process. I can now say I understand about 95% of the lyrics, including the title, and I will happily translate for someone!
