It's only Tuesday and this week has already been hectic. I've gotten better at keeping a detailed calendar both on my phone and in my planner, but still, I'm just busy.

When I'm stressed like this, I like to reminisce to other times when I wasn't so busy, and life was more carefree. For example, the night in Chicago with Jolson pictured below.

We ran around downtown and eventually ended up at a free concert in Millennium Park. Actually, we biked around, and miraculously didn't get run over.

You're allowed to bring your own food and alcohol into the park, so we got some Pringles for "dinner," and I bought myself some Blue Moons for the concert. After realizing I had no way to open them, I ran back into the Walgreens (actually on the corner of Michigan and Washington, not Happy and Healthy) to buy a souvenir Chicago bottle opener, and for some reason, this "emergency bottle opener" cracked me up for days on end. I still carry it around with me in my little red backpack, because you never know when an emergency will arise and a bottle will need to be opened.

The concert in the park was some violinist, and we could neither hear nor see them performing. I'm sure it was wonderful, I just have no idea. Still, Jolson and I sat on the wet grass talking and laughing, not thinking about the fact that I had to be back in the city early the next morning for work.

That's a much better feeling than being outrageously busy, so I'll just keep thinking about that night for the next few days...
