Blog #139: Working Full Time

Okay so in my life I have worked a "full time" job, where I accumulated enough hours in the week for it to be considered full time. The thing is, this was a serving job, so my hours were very irregular, and scattered throughout the week.

So, that said, this is the first time I've ever had a "nine to five" full time job, and it's... a little whack. I don't mind going to work every day, and I've enjoyed the last three days (every day on the job is something entirely new!), but I feel like I have no time to do anything I want to do! Or, if I do, I have to do it immediately after work so I can go to bed early to wake up early and go back to work.

I don't know... Perhaps I'll get used to it. It's only been three days after all. Still, I don't think I could do a nine to five for the rest of my life, especially if I'm doing the same stuff every day. I'm grateful that at World Relief, every day is a new adventure, and every day I get to interact with a new client and help them succeed.

It also helps that it's very meaningful work, and I care deeply about the mission of the company and the help they provide to so many vulnerable people. If I'm being honest it's a pretty rad job, so I guess I can handle the nine to five for a couple months.

This is the pig found in Tyson headquarters in downtown Chicago, and even though I don't really support the meat industry, shoutout to Tyson for this dope internship program I guess.
