Blog #137: First Day

First of all, thanks to all the people who wished me luck on my first day on the job! It was sweet to get some texts from some important people.

Secondly, the first day was pretty uneventful, and was only a half day due to my program orientation in the afternoon. Not much to talk about there.

BUT!

Today was also the day I reunited with Sofi, the first Morningside friend I've seen since December! It's hard to believe I haven't seen most of my college friends in six months...

Sofi and I also explored the city for quite some time today, and it was my first day really getting into the city this summer. Most of my time has been spent in the burbs! We got lost enough times for the whole summer, but in the middle of us getting lost, we found an arepa shop, so all was well. In reality, we think it was destiny leading us to those arepas.

Though it was a mostly fun day, there were also many moments of stress and anxiety, and boy that makes me tired! Here's hoping I can make it through the whole week without getting too exhausted.
