Today I spent my whole morning and afternoon with Grandma Dee, and what a treat it was! She took me to lunch, then we came back to the house and played cards, chatting away the whole time. I tell you, I loved spending time with Grandma Dee when I was a kid, but now that I'm older, I love it even more. She is both wise and hilarious, most often without trying to be, which makes every conversation with her an absolute goldmine for one-liners (both of advice and of comedy).
One of my favorites from today was in regard to somebody she knew who made a rather dumb decision. Apparently, rather than tell that person they were being dumb, Grandma Dee simply asked "who gave you bad advice?" which I think is even better somehow.
Grandma Dee and I also visited her sister, my Aunt Judy, and spent some time with her.
I also went to the studio and did yoga with Mom today!
And I also did a load of laundry!
For "Back Home in Osage City Kailyn," that makes it a pretty eventful day.
