Although I honestly have no idea how, my time with Mariel has already run out, and we said our goodbyes today. Although I got to spend less time with her than I will get with the rest of the family, I'd like to think it is balanced out by the fact that she got to see me a week before any of them. Although I'm happy for both of us and the many adventures we find ourselves on, the farewells are never an easy thing to do.

That being said, I'm on my final stop of the European Tour de Friendship with my friend Manuel, and I'm so excited about it! We began our day in Munich with Mariel, then spent a four-hair train ride laughing and talking and reconnecting. After two years of not seeing each other, there's plenty to talk about! Plus, there's never a dull moment with Manuel, who can keep me laughing hysterically for hours on end.

Manuel said earlier today- "it should feel crazy that we're here together, but honestly it just feels normal," and honestly, I think that's the sign of a good friendship. No matter where you are or what you're doing, everything can seem normal when you're with the right people. I'm lucky enough to feel normal with these great people, so I'd call it a "normal" day with Mariel and Manuel in Munich.
