Today was such a full and good day!

We started it with Emma cooking us an 'Irish fry' for breakfast, which props to Emma, was really great. After that we geared up and went to Antrim's Glen for a hike, which was absolutely amazing. After more than four months of virtually no nature in India, I was like a little kid exploring the forest for the first time in my life. I just wanted to see and touch and climb everything.

After our hike we visited the dark hedges, a filming site for Game of Thrones, and then the Giant's Causeway, which was beautifullll. Finally, we went to the rope bridge, where we walked across a swinging rope bridge strung between two cliffs over the sea. My intense fear of heights made that journey even more of a challenge, but it was well worth it. From the cliffs to the rocky coast and the lush fields in between, everything today was a sight for sore eyes on my behalf. I have desperately been needing some nature, and today I got a full dose.

When we got home, Emma's younger brother Brian taught us how to play Gaelic, an Irish game which is kind of a mix between basketball, football, and American football. Even though the poor kid tried, I was a hopeless case. We also played another game outside which I think Emma and her siblings made up, as well as a good number of board games later in the evening. This, and simply being here with Emma and her whole family, has made me realize just how much I miss being around a family in general. There is a dynamic that's just different in a family home, and I've missed it a lot in the time I've been away.

Anyway, it was a very fun and full day, and I must go to bed because I am wiped out and we've got another full day tomorrow.
