Blog #10: Today

Today was a very good day.

After sleeping in, I went to coffee with three friends— the Europeans, as I call them. The four of us sitting around the table were an Italian, a German, a Norwegian, and an American. We drank coffee, talked politics, and together were able to name all fifty US States! (I definitely needed their help on that one, and before you judge me, try doing it yourself.)

Today was also a momentous day— I finallyunpacked! After using my suitcase as a dresser for 2.5 weeks, I decided it was time to really settle in. Although it likely won’t stay this way for long, at least for now, my room is entirely organized and perfectly clean. As much as I hate to admit it (especially to Mom, who I know is reading this), I do function best in a tidy space. It’s just the whole tidying up part that usually doesn’t work too well with me.

Finally, today is a benchmark. This post marks my tenth blog post— I’ve hit double digits! I can’t believe Feb is already more than one third over, and I can’t believe I’ve actually written one blog post for every single day of it. I guess there’s no going back now… I’m really doing this.

Here’s to the start of a new week, a day of recharging, and to the poori I made by myself tonight that was pretty freaking good.
